Ted does Mountain and Moorland in hand classes with my wife Yvonne. That means he is "shown" in his natural state and the judges have to try and figure out which is the best in the class. Due to the rarity of the Connemara Pony in England, the Connemara is native Irish, they group all of the native breeds such as Welsh section C & D, Newforest, Dales, Fells and Highlands into the same class. The judges seem to like him!

Charlotte also rides Ted in various classes and has now started Dressage competitions on him.

So far this year he has won 4 in hand classes and 1 ridden class at the local horse shows. These are over 5 shows for each class which equates to something like 25 individual wins and places over the year. He recently became reserve champion at the festival of champions, not bad at all!

Next year he will be competing at some of the agricultural shows such as Cartmell and Great Eccleston and hopefully the Great Yorkshire Show, The Cheshire Show and The Royal Lancashire Show.
